About the Director.
Edelle Kenny is an Irish writer, director and producer whose career spans independent cinema, television and international production. Originally from Dublin, Kenny spent a decade in New York, where she built extensive experience directing and story-producing documentary and reality television for major networks including Paramount, Discovery and Viacom. She has since returned to Ireland to focus on scripted film and television, working on productions involving Universal Pictures, Blumhouse and Amazon MGM Studios. Her short film Ossobuco launched her as a filmmaker to watch, while her latest short, The Race, written by Gemma Kane and supported by Screen Ireland and the National Talent Academy, premiered at the Dublin International Film Festival in 2026. Kenny has also directed the short Caged Rabbits and worked as second-unit director on Universal's Soulm8te. Her work is particularly focused on character-driven stories and female narratives, combining her international production experience with a distinctive perspective on contemporary Irish life.
