About the Director.
Marco von Moos is a Swiss filmmaker, director, writer, editor, producer and visual-effects artist from Zurich, whose career began at an unusually young age. He discovered filmmaking as a child and completed his first feature-length project, Turicon – The Legend of Sollthar, at just 19, with family and friends making up the cast and crew. The film went on to be screened at international festivals and win several prizes, helping launch his professional career. He subsequently founded his own studio, NoControl Cinema, and developed a broad filmmaking practice encompassing directing, writing, editing, visual effects and production. His feature credits include Face to Face and Nightcast, while his later work includes the short film The Cottage, the science-fiction pilot Aurum – Das Tor and the feature project APPology – Be Your Best Self. His work reflects a distinctly hands-on approach to independent filmmaking, combining storytelling with technical expertise across multiple areas of production.
