Director Statement
My films move in different directions from each other but all keeping a powerful emotional thread throughout that connects them whether I'm making Psychological horror, Dark comedy or intense drama. My inspirations range from The French New wave, Hitchcock, Ken Loach and David Lynch.
About the Director.
M W Daniels began filming in 2011 but from 2018 his films became professional in script, acting and sound. His first professional sound film "Being Without" was a finalist at the 2019 Gold Movie Awards and he has since won awards for many of his films, the most notable so far being, the dark comedy drama "Lizziehead" (2023) which won 6 awards worldwide and got the final of the Cannes monthly completion. His new film "Beyond Mamushi" (2026) which is a psychological supernatural horror was completed in December 2025.
