About the Director.
Lawton Charman is a British actor, writer, director and filmmaker whose work spans independent cinema, comedy and television. He has written, directed, edited and performed in a range of short-form productions, including The Hero, winner of the August 2021 British Comedy Guide Pro Video Contest, and Shut Eye, for which he received the Best Director award at the Winter 2023 WeMakeFilms Festival. His directing credits also include The Chronicles of Diablos, selected for the Greenwich Film Festival. Alongside his filmmaking, Charman has built a career as an actor and television editor, bringing a versatile, hands-on approach to independent production and comedy.
